Euro Steel buys and sells M and T series high-speed steels (HSS), both as semi-finished products and as production scrap, for steelworks, foundries and machine shops in the petrochemical, aerospace and Oil & Gas sectors, in Italy and abroad. We specialise in high nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys such as vacuum superalloys, but we handle materials and alloys of many different compositions.

High-speed steel (HSS): buying and selling M2, M35, M42 and T15
High-speed steels (HSS) keep their hardness and cutting edge even at the high temperatures generated by high-speed machining. They are alloyed with tungsten, molybdenum, vanadium, chromium and, in some grades, cobalt, and are used for drills, milling cutters, taps, broaches and cutting tools.

High-speed steel semi-finished products and scrap
We supply high-speed steel as prime and secondary-grade semi-finished products: bars and special forgings, plates and flat products and pipes. We also buy production scrap and turnings to feed back into the supply chain. Every batch is checked with XRF and spectrometric analysis in our laboratory in Roncadelle (Brescia, Italy), and certificates are available on request.

Yes. Euro Steel buys high-speed steel scrap, such as machining offcuts and end-of-life tools, and feeds it back into the supply chain as secondary raw material.
What is the difference between M2 and M35 high-speed steel?
M35 is essentially M2 with about 5% cobalt, which increases hot hardness. That makes it better suited to higher cutting speeds and hard-to-machine materials.
